As the first COVID vaccine in Illinois is given to a health worker in Peoria today, State Representative Dan Brady stressed that the vaccination is the best path forward for protection of the most vulnerable and the full reopening of businesses in our communities.
“While it’s clear that the Governor’s heavy-handed approach to Coronavirus was not ultimately effective for stopping the spread of the virus, the beginning of vaccinations gives us new hope. I’m done looking in the rearview mirror. We need to look forward, and I believe the vaccine unveiled today in Peoria provides us a new opportunity for recovery and healing,” Rep. Brady said.
“I believe voluntary vaccination will help us protect our elderly and high-risk family members, and will help get our local restaurants, bars, and retailers back in business very soon,” Rep. Brady added.
