This week I stood with more than 1,000 members of our community to speak out against racism in all its forms. It was a peaceful vigil and protest. Violence, looting, or causing personal injury does not help honor George Floyd’s memory, nor anyone else’s, and it certainly does not advance the cause of justice, it only puts more lives at risk.
I would like to thank the good men and women who are trying to keep the peace, protect life and property, and display respect for each other. I urge all members of our community to please, please remain peaceful when gathering to express your rights and make your voice heard.
